Stampartpapel Retarte 84 - Doodle Pantry

Hello Friends

I am so sorry I have been SO absent SO long.  Life is full of surprises and today I have a few for you!  Firstly the reason for my absence is that I have been working.  Very out of the blue but very fantastic!!  I have been doing 30-40 hours a week and loving it but between that, married life and running around after my teens I have had very little time for card making or scrapbooking!

But today I am back!  Surprise number #2 I have been chosen to be on a new Design Team over at Stampartpapel.  Thank you so much to the gorgeous Martha for having me and "welcome" to all the new DT members.  I can't wait to work with you all, get to know you better AND be inspired by all your crafty creations.

This week our wonderful sponsors over at Doodle Pantry have provided us with a choice of some gorgeous digi stamps to work with and those who know me well won't be at all surprised with the stamp I choose.  Please be sure to hop on over to their website and check out all the great designs on offer.

So here  it is, my very first card creation especially for Stampartpapel :

Both the gorgeous cat digi image and the words came from the one kit... but not just these I also got a second cute kitty image & more words!  Be sure to check out Doodle Pantry... I promise you won't be disappointed by their range or their prices!

Thanks for stopping by.  Until next time.....

Happy Crafting.

UYS Challenge #227 - Good Things in 3's

Hello Everyone

I am finally back.  It has been a few weeks but I have been on a little break.  Busy making some kitty kat cards for a local charity.  The lovely ladies over at Use Your Stuff did a blog hop recently so between that and waiting my teams turn to play it has been a while!  But I am happy to finally be back.

This weeks challenge is a great one - 3's.... 3 colours, 3 photos or phrases and 3 embellishments.  Use as many embellies as you like as long as you have 3 different ones!  So I choose to create a layout as I have been making so many cards lately!

I choose 3 photos of my son Jordan and a friend from soccer, Seth.  I love these photos that I was lucky enough to snap at a recent game this season. Very impromptu, from the heart.  My 3 colours were red, black  & white (our club colours) and my 3 embellies consisted of bling, circles & triangles.

Thanks for stopping by.  Don't forget to head on over to the UYS blog and check out this weeks great examples as submitted by my talented team mates as well as the great entries that will soon start to appear.  Hope to see one of yours there soon!

Challenge #223 UYS Heat Embossing

Morning All

Today I bring to you my latest challenge over at Use Your Stuff.  This week I am challenging you all to create something using "heat" embossing.  A few weeks back we had a folder embossing challenge and heat embossing is a technique I love and simply don't use enough.  Here is a card I created using the Swallowtail Butterfly stamp from Stampin' Up, white embossing power and some sponges and inks to highlight the embossing.  Hope you like it :

Thanks for stopping by and please don't forget to head over to the UYS Blog to leave some love for my fellow DT members who have created some stunning examples using embossing.  And if you fancy creating a little something please link it up at the bottom of my post on the UYS blog.

Until next time

Paper Craft Addicts May Challenge Z Fold Cards

Hello

For this months challenge over on our Facebook group "Paper Craft Addicts" my card challenge for the month of May is to create a Z Fold Card.  The idea came to me when I saw a "swap" group for a Z Fold Card by the wonderfully talented Monique Benn.  Monique was kind enough to let me use her swap theme for my card challenge this month, so thank you Monique.

I made this for our gorgeous little neighbour who turns 1 year old today!

Apologies for the horrible "white outs" I totally forgot to photograph my card before I wrote in it!

And here is another more simplified version of the card :

Thanks for stopping by... that's it for today but please scroll down as I have added quite a few posts to my blog today.  Happy crafting, til next time!

My Own Soccer Superstar!!!

Hello

On the weekend I was lucky enough to find some quiet time to get another scrapbooking layout done. This one is just a simplistic one as I wanted to highlight the photo of my son.

This was his first year playing for our local club... Under 11 Div 2 Boys.

I used my Stampin' Up star dies to cut out the larger stars and my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the tiny stars and the title.  Matted it all over a doily cut in half and there you have it.  A quick and easy layout.  Sadly the colours are the best, sorry.  The green isn't that horrible yellow in real life.  It just didn't photograph well at all in any light!

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting.

Cards From Jenny

Hello

Last week I was lucky enough to get invited to a card class. It seems like forever since I have gotten to go to one so I jumped at the chance.  There I got to meet the lovely Jenny Fuller and we created three totally different and all equally as gorgeous cards.  I would love to share these cards with you all now:

and check out this awesome multi-folding card!

I've got to finish off the front yet with a greeting!

When you first open up the card....

Then inside when you finally open it all up!

And last but not least what it looks like on the outside when completely open.

Thanks for stopping by everyone.  And happy crafting.
