Hi Everyone Firstly I wanted to wish everyone a late but none the less heartfelt **Merry Christmas**. I am sorry I am so late but I have been having issues with my blog and haven't been able to log into it for a couple of weeks. Despite numberous attempts and quite a bit of frustration on my part. Seems it was conflicting software! ARGH why didn't I think of that sooner. I was assuming I think in part that I had been hacked. All is back to normal now so I need to apologise and post several creations from my LCOM DT work. I am thrilled to announce that I have been accepted back on the new DT for LCOM and there have been a few changes. I am very excited and very happy to be back. So I won't keep you waiting a minute longer.... here are a few of my latest cards.

I can't believe I am blogging so much of late. As I am still unwell I have decided to take a few days off from real life, rest up as much as possible and have a little play here and there in my craft room. Making hay whilst the sun shines as they say. Today I had to make a sympathy card for a family member and then I had some spare time on my hands so this is what I came up with. I was playing around with my *new* to me Stampin' Up stamps and ink pads. I wanted to try and use colours that I would not normally use so today I am please to present this card :

Was just playing around in my craft room this afternoon finishing off another Stampin' Up Christmas Ornament. For this one I went for more traditional colours in Old Olive and Raspberry Ripple. Whilst I meant this to be more similiar to the ones you can see in the Holiday Mini Catalogue I made a wee mistake when adding the twine and wasn't happy with how everything sat when I was putting the finishing touches on, so I decided to add some mulberry paper roses and see how it went. I am not a 100% sure it is finished yet as I am thinking about spritzing it so it has more shimmer and perhaps adding some bling to dress it up as well. But this is it for now....
Hi Everyone Just stopping in to share a layout that I shamelessly scrap lifted from one of my fellow Design Team members over at Let's Capture Our Memories. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to do a scraplift of it. So with all credit going to Leila Cassimira for the original work of art I hope you enjoy seeing my take on it.
Hello Well my week certainly got off to a great start (if you can ignore the fact that I am sick sick sick once again!!). I was lucky enough to snap up a bargin when a local lady decided to sell of all of her crafting goodies. I picked up a Stampin' Up Stamp Caddy, 35 ink pads, heaps of matching pens, 7 stamp sets plus a punch. And top it all off the lovely lady gave me a brayer and some daubers as well since I brought so much. It was hard to resist but as I paid less than a third of new retail! And every gal has got to love a crafty bargin doesn't she? So today I had some card making to do. Firstly I made up two cards that I can't share just yet as they are for my DT at Let's Capture Our Memories but then since I had a little time on my hands and some new goodies that needed testing out I made up a couple of simple cards that I'd love to share with you. So here they are and I think for a change nearly all the products used on these were actually Stampin' Up.

Hi For the month of November the DT girls over at Let's Capture Our Memories have been given an extra challenge! Each of our sketches comes with a twist! Don't you just LOVE it? I know I do. But I have to say that the first challenge was a little challenging!! lols To be sitting in warm, humid oh so sunny Queensland and thinking of making a card with the twist "snow" was a little interesting to say the least. I was lucky enough to have some old Bo Bunny papers in my stash as well as some snowman stamped out images (thanks lil Sis aka Carolyn Zabel) from Magnolia to save the day. So here is my latest card creation. Don't forget to HOP ON over to the LCOM sketch blog to check out all the other DT's cards and to participate for a chance to win a great prize!
Hi Everyone Sorry I am so behind and haven't been posting much of late. After the house move I ended up so unwell that everything has just gone to the dogs! But today I wanted to share with you all my two latest creations. Firstly this layout sketch challenge from Let's Capture Our Memories. This layout is all about my first ever scrapbooking retreat. Would you believe it was 12 months ago and I am only just now getting around to scrapping it??? I would have loved to go again this year but timing just didn't permit it. I am looking towards next year but thinking I am going to so do this again! Be sure you head over to LCOM and check out their sketch blog. You won't be disappointed as there are just so many talented ladies on the design teams.

Hi Everyone It seems I have the card making bug at the moment having gone weeks without a hint of card making or scrapbooking. Some days it really feels like cards are my roots more so than scrapbooking! But moving along I just wanted to share with you my latest LCOM creation. I am late with submitting this one so I am going to jump right on in and share it. I hope the girls at LCOM won't be mad with me....?!?!? I used the sketch to make another christmas card for the troops.
Hello Everyone Back again for a quick post. I was so organised that I totally remembered seeing earlier in the week that today was "World Teachers Day" but sadly I somehow managed to then completely forget all about it. So I have just now hastily thrown together what I hope is a cute little card for Nicayla to give to her teacher this afternoon. I will call by the shops on the way to pick her up from school to get a little something to go with the card, perhaps a block of chocolate or similiar.
Morning Friends Just thought I'd take a moment from what seems to be my never ending stream of busy days to share some cards I made yesterday for our Aussie Troops. They were all made using the gorgeous Ornament Keepsakes Stamp & matching Framelits from Stampin' Up.

Hi All Spent the day at the lovely Susan Luke's house today making a name tag and the card I am about to share. As always we had a fun filled day and learnt some new techniques! I have brought my name tag home as I wanted to do some more work on it at home plus I wanted to add the glossy accents at home so I didn't have to move it and accidentally smear the drying accents everywhere, so I will share it as soon as it dries completely. Here is the gorgeous card we made. As always, I managed to do mine a little differently to everyone else. I turned my card sideways! Have a great evening, until next time.

Hi Everyone Though it has been yet another somewhat chaotic week (yes I hear you al say when is it not?) I have managed to get a few cards made this week. I have two cards that I can't share yet as I want them to get to their new owners without spoiling the surprise! But I do have one creation that was made just because that I wanted to share tonight. I hope everyone is having a great weekend where ever you are in the world and that you have some time set aside to do something just for you, whether or not it is crafty. You all deserve to be spoilt with some time just for yourselves. Off to watch my beloved Formula One now so I will say *bye for now* til a bit later in the week when I will have another LCOM layout to share with you all.

Hi Everyone Well it has been so busy during school holidays that I didn't realise that I hadn't posted in so long. Blogging seems to be at the bottom of my list so to make up for it I have a few simple cards to share with you all today. As you know I have recently joined Stampin' Up as a demonstrator so I thought I have a little play with my new stamps the "Reason to Smile" stamp set. Here is what I came up with over the past few days. Apologies for the bad lighting.... I have been waiting for the rain to go away and the sun to come out but alias Mother Nature isn't co operating at the moment.

Good Evening Well it is with a heavy heart that I can now share with you all that the lovely Anam has decided after three years of running the amazing Twisted Sketches site that it is time to call it a day. Anam you have done an amazing job over the past few years, providing us all with some amazingly talented scrapbookers & card makers to inspire our creativity week in and week out. It has been both an honour & privilege to work alongside such a talented bunch of card makers these past few months. Our final twist for this week was *THANKS*. Of course as I was making my card I was thinking of how much I wanted to thank Anam for the opportunity she gave me and for the wonderful work she has done over the past three years running & managing the site. So without further adieu here is my final card. All the best Anam......... and THANK YOU Hugs Shirl

Good Afternoon Well after what seems to always be another chaotic week (found out our dd is highly allergic to dust mites) I have finally managed to sit down for an hour and make a start on one of several *special* cards I need to make asap. This card will be hand delivered tomorrow at our monthly card making class to a special lady I have come to know who is leaving us to live interstate! She will be dearly missed and I wanted to make a little card & as well as give her a little farewell gift! Still working on that! lols Nothing like leaving it to the very last minute hey? Hope everyone is having a scrappy week. Bye for now. Hugs Shirl

Well I have been just a tad absent of late, for which I apologise. Real life has been crazy busy with illness, sporting competitions & matches, training and the list goes on and on. But I thought I would share some of my Stampin' Up Christmas Cards. I have been on a total roll the past week since receiving my first ever SU order. After months and months and months considering whether or not I would join SU I finally decided to take the plunge at the end of May. As part of my first order I got two sets of Christmas stamps as well as two sets of word stamps. I ordered these with Christmas Card making on my mind. As well as creating my Magnolia cards for special friends and family members (fellow crafters) I wanted a way of making some quick and easy cards that would still appeal not only to me but of course to the people I am giving them too as well. So I can't say enough how happy I am with not only my stamps but also the co-ordinating inks, as well as paper and cardstock. If I can assist anyone with an queries please don't hesistate to get in touch. But for now... here are some of my very simple christmas cards. Thanks for stopping by. Hope everyone has had a great Sunday and got lots of scrapbooking and card making done. Hugs Shirl

Evening Ladies Just a quick post before bedtime. I wanted to share my latest Twisted Sketches creation with you all. My DD turned 11 years old on Friday and I was trying to make a sneeky birthday card for her using this sketch! But she was too smart for me and sprung me making it. Not only did she catch me out creating her card she also managed to find the new Magnolia stamp I had secretly brought to use. I must be getting old ladies....... lols. So this is my take on Anam's latest wonderful sketch challenge. Using my new Tilda the gymnast stamp. In case some of you don't know my dd is a competitive Level 4 gymnast. She absolutely *loves* her gymnastics so when Magnolia brought out this stamp I knew one day I'd be buying it just for her. Without further adieu but girls here is my card. I hope it bring some inspiration to someone out there. Don't forget but ladies to hop on over to the and check out all the other ladies beautiful cards. Happy Card Making........ Hugs Shirl

Evening Everyone Just wanted to share a new card I tried out for the first time tonight. It isn't one of my best but I guess it did still turn out to be a cute card. I think where I went wrong was I tried to make it into a Christmas Card. Had I made a birthday card I would have had more options for embellishing it. Anyway I hope you like it and get some inspiration from it. Have a great evening.
