Retarte 90 - Kenny K Stamps

Good Evening Crafty Friends

I am happy to be back tonight with my latest card creation for Stampapelart.  As Christmas quickly grows closer it is time to start thinking about making and sending out cards.  It is a once yearly ritual that I actually really look forward too.

This week I was so lucky as I got to create with a lovely digi stamp called Christmas Tree from our wonderful sponsors at

Please head over to the KennyK website and check out the great range of stamps they have on sale, as well as the blog for heaps of inspiration.
              .
So who wants to see my card created using this gorgeous stamp?  Well the wait is over ... here it is ....

I dug out some old patterned paper that I have been hoarding from seasons ago and then coloured the image to suit.  I love how it all came together!

Please be sure you head over to the blog and check out the examples created by my very talented fellow Design Team members not to mention to check out all the entries to our challenge.  I am 100% sure you will be inspired.

Challenge # 239 - Oct 24 - Heritage

Good Morning Everyone

Today I am sharing with you a layout I created a while ago which fits the "heritage" part of the latest challenge over at Use Your Stuff.   Do yourself a favour and make sure you click on the link and check out the other great layouts from my very talented DT members.

I  wanted the "proofs" from our wedding photographer to speak for themselves so I keep the embellishments very simple.  I love how the double layout turned out.  Our photographer was just brilliant.

Twenty three years have passed since this special day and quite a few years more of being together so I think this definitely meets the heritage part of the challenge.

Ahh to be young again!!......

Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to see your challenge up on the Use Your Stuff blog.

Retarte 88 - The Cutting Cafe

Good Evening Everyone,

This week I am back with some gorgeous files from The Cutting Cafe.  Do yourself a favour and go check them out.  It was so much fun playing with my Brother Scan N Cut using these files.  I got to use the Candy Set.  As it is almost Halloween The Cutting Cafe has some great files for Halloween you won't be disappointed.

Being an Aussie I don't normally celebrate Halloween (but many do these days) I decided to see what I could do with  my file that wasn't Halloween focused.  So firstly I cut the file out and made it into a candy card.  This gorgeous set comes with some great circular Halloween sentiments too I have to add.  Obviously I haven't used them as my candy card is for a "birthday".  Here is what it looks like:

And here is what the inside looks like.  I have kept it pretty simple so the card speaks for itself!

And secondly here is a card that I made using some of the files to put a large piece of candy on my card front!

These files are just so versatile!

Now before you go you have to head over to Stampartpapel and check out the other amazing creations.  If you think mine is good wait til you see what the other ladies have created.  I am so in awe of some of the cards made this week.  They almost make me want to celebrate Halloween!!

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Crafting!

Use Your Stuff - Black/Orange/Neutral Colours

Good Evening Friends,

Today I am back with a challenge from last week (yes I am horrible I know - sorry :( ) from Use Your Stuff.  It seems it is the time of year where everything thinks of Halloween.  There are so many challenges about at the moment that seem to be based around this celebration.  Although I am not one to celebrate personally I do love seeing all the fun, creative, gorgeous projects that all my fellow DT members are coming up with.  So please if you have a spare minute or three pop on over to the UYS blog and check them out.

With working full time I find I have very little time these days for my beloved crafting.  I have to apologise for the picture quality of my share tonight.  It appears a little more "yellowish" than orange as I only had a small window of opportunity to photograph my card and the lighting wasn't the best.

Since I don't celebrate Halloween I decided to make a simple easel card that could be used for many occasions.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Use Your Stuff - Challenge #235 - Mood Board

Good Morning All

Well this working full time sucks!  LMAO.... only because it is leaving me NO  time at all of late to craft much or create or even keep my blog up updated!  Well let's be honest I suck at that all the time!!! I cannot believe here we are at the end of my challenge over at Use Your Stuff and ONLY now do I realise I haven't even shared my layouts or challenge on my OWN blog! DOH!!!

So firstly this is the Mood Board I created to inspire.  I am not normally a fan of yellow but I have to say I so feel in love with this that I was inspired to create not one but two layouts using it!

And this is the first of the layouts I created and used to showcase just one of the many ways the mood board could be interpreted.  And yes sorry of course it is more "Bon Jovi".  A true fan can never get enough!!

And this is the second layout I created.  Our Casper when he was but a kitten.  I can't believe how small he once was...

Thank you all for stopping by.  Don't forget to do yourself a favour and follow the link above over to Use My Stuff's blog.  Honestly the lovely ladies on my Design Team have created some amazing work this week.

Happy Crafting

Stampartpapel Retarte 86 - Moonflower Digi Stamps

Evening

Today I am back with another gorgeous digi stamp from Moonflower Digi Stamps and a card creation for Stampartpapel.  This week's challenge pushed me out of my comfort zone as some of the beautiful images we got to work with were "Halloween" images.  And although many of my family and friends in Australia celebrate Halloween I do not.  So it was a challenge to work with such an image.  But I am really happy with how it all turned out!

Now isn't that the cutest image?  I just fell instantly in love with  Gina Le Cat Witch and just had to choose her to colour & style.  Now before you leave be sure to click on my above links and go show the lovely design team ladies some love on our blog and you will kick yourself if you don't head over to Moonflower Digi Stamps to check out their awesome designs as well.

Thanks for stopping by... until next time

Happy Crafting

Colour Challenge #233 - Use Your Stuff

Good Evening

After a well deserved and a much needed month off the amazingly talented ladies from Use Your Stuff are back with a vengeance!!

Our first challenge back (well for my team) is a colour challenge. These were the colours we were given to work with :

Aren't they gorgeous?   I have been so busy with my new job, school, sporting activities and juggling that home/work life balance that I opted with a simple card for this challenge.

I decided to make another Christmas Card for my end of year collection this time using some stickers, which I rarely use.  I am quite please with how it turned out.

Now make sure you head over to the Use Your Stuff blog and check out the other amazing creations from my fellow designers.

Until next time

Happy Creating

Please excuse the bad lighting but I wanted to share my example tonight and not have to wait another week til I have time when there is good lighting.

Stampartpapel Retarte 84 - Doodle Pantry

Hello Friends

I am so sorry I have been SO absent SO long.  Life is full of surprises and today I have a few for you!  Firstly the reason for my absence is that I have been working.  Very out of the blue but very fantastic!!  I have been doing 30-40 hours a week and loving it but between that, married life and running around after my teens I have had very little time for card making or scrapbooking!

But today I am back!  Surprise number #2 I have been chosen to be on a new Design Team over at Stampartpapel.  Thank you so much to the gorgeous Martha for having me and "welcome" to all the new DT members.  I can't wait to work with you all, get to know you better AND be inspired by all your crafty creations.

This week our wonderful sponsors over at Doodle Pantry have provided us with a choice of some gorgeous digi stamps to work with and those who know me well won't be at all surprised with the stamp I choose.  Please be sure to hop on over to their website and check out all the great designs on offer.

So here  it is, my very first card creation especially for Stampartpapel :

Both the gorgeous cat digi image and the words came from the one kit... but not just these I also got a second cute kitty image & more words!  Be sure to check out Doodle Pantry... I promise you won't be disappointed by their range or their prices!

Thanks for stopping by.  Until next time.....

Happy Crafting.

UYS Challenge #227 - Good Things in 3's

Hello Everyone

I am finally back.  It has been a few weeks but I have been on a little break.  Busy making some kitty kat cards for a local charity.  The lovely ladies over at Use Your Stuff did a blog hop recently so between that and waiting my teams turn to play it has been a while!  But I am happy to finally be back.

This weeks challenge is a great one - 3's.... 3 colours, 3 photos or phrases and 3 embellishments.  Use as many embellies as you like as long as you have 3 different ones!  So I choose to create a layout as I have been making so many cards lately!

I choose 3 photos of my son Jordan and a friend from soccer, Seth.  I love these photos that I was lucky enough to snap at a recent game this season. Very impromptu, from the heart.  My 3 colours were red, black  & white (our club colours) and my 3 embellies consisted of bling, circles & triangles.

Thanks for stopping by.  Don't forget to head on over to the UYS blog and check out this weeks great examples as submitted by my talented team mates as well as the great entries that will soon start to appear.  Hope to see one of yours there soon!

Challenge #223 UYS Heat Embossing

Morning All

Today I bring to you my latest challenge over at Use Your Stuff.  This week I am challenging you all to create something using "heat" embossing.  A few weeks back we had a folder embossing challenge and heat embossing is a technique I love and simply don't use enough.  Here is a card I created using the Swallowtail Butterfly stamp from Stampin' Up, white embossing power and some sponges and inks to highlight the embossing.  Hope you like it :

Thanks for stopping by and please don't forget to head over to the UYS Blog to leave some love for my fellow DT members who have created some stunning examples using embossing.  And if you fancy creating a little something please link it up at the bottom of my post on the UYS blog.

Until next time

Paper Craft Addicts May Challenge Z Fold Cards

Hello

For this months challenge over on our Facebook group "Paper Craft Addicts" my card challenge for the month of May is to create a Z Fold Card.  The idea came to me when I saw a "swap" group for a Z Fold Card by the wonderfully talented Monique Benn.  Monique was kind enough to let me use her swap theme for my card challenge this month, so thank you Monique.

I made this for our gorgeous little neighbour who turns 1 year old today!

Apologies for the horrible "white outs" I totally forgot to photograph my card before I wrote in it!

And here is another more simplified version of the card :

Thanks for stopping by... that's it for today but please scroll down as I have added quite a few posts to my blog today.  Happy crafting, til next time!

My Own Soccer Superstar!!!

Hello

On the weekend I was lucky enough to find some quiet time to get another scrapbooking layout done. This one is just a simplistic one as I wanted to highlight the photo of my son.

This was his first year playing for our local club... Under 11 Div 2 Boys.

I used my Stampin' Up star dies to cut out the larger stars and my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the tiny stars and the title.  Matted it all over a doily cut in half and there you have it.  A quick and easy layout.  Sadly the colours are the best, sorry.  The green isn't that horrible yellow in real life.  It just didn't photograph well at all in any light!

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting.

Cards From Jenny

Hello

Last week I was lucky enough to get invited to a card class. It seems like forever since I have gotten to go to one so I jumped at the chance.  There I got to meet the lovely Jenny Fuller and we created three totally different and all equally as gorgeous cards.  I would love to share these cards with you all now:

and check out this awesome multi-folding card!

I've got to finish off the front yet with a greeting!

When you first open up the card....

Then inside when you finally open it all up!

And last but not least what it looks like on the outside when completely open.

Thanks for stopping by everyone.  And happy crafting.

Bon Jovi Layout

Good Evening Everyone

We after having a fortnight off from Use Your Stuff I thought I would share a layout I created this week.  Whilst it may have been three years since I last go to see my beloved Bon Jovi in concert I am still trying to get my album completed!  So today I share with a tribute layout.  To the keyboardist extraordinaire My David Bryan.

Please excuse the bad crop.  The base is not cardstock but patterned paper so of course it doesn't sit well standing up.  Thank you all for stopping by my blog and if you are after some more inspiration make sure you click on the link above and see what the girls at UYS are up to this week.

Until next time

Please make sure you head over to the Use Your Stuff  blog to leave some love for both my fellow Design Team Members as well as those you have entered a card/layout into our competition AND I'd love to see you create something to submit as well!

Here is my card creation :-

#213 UYS - Lace, Ribbon or Twine Challenge

Good Morning All

Another Challenge fortnight for me over at Use Your Stuff.  This week our challenge was to create something, anything we pleased as long as we used lace, ribbon or twine on our creation.  For something different this week I went with a layout... so many photos yet to scrap! I feel like I am falling behind and will never catch up!!  This layout features two people very special to me and very dear to my heart!  My adopted Sis and her wonderful hubby.  This "fun" photo was snapped when they came up to visit us so we could all go see BON JOVI!!  I love this photo of them both!

Hope you find a little inspiration from my layout or from some of the other amazing creations over at UYS.  Don't forget to leave some love for my fellow DT members on the blog and post your creations as well via the link at the bottom of the challenge post!  Can't wait to see what you all create.  Til next time,

Paper Craft Addicts March Challenge - Ink It Up!

Good Morning All

I can hardly believe it but March is here already... the start of the third month of 2016... seriously where has the time gone?!  So with a new month comes a new card challenge over at Paper Craft Addicts (please note this is a closed facebook group so you will have to ask to join & wait to be approved).  For my card challenge this month I decided on highlighting INK... so my challenge is called "Ink It Up!".  Here is my card :

I have heat embossed the Swallowtail Butterfly stamp from Stampin' Up in black ink and then gone over it with pink and blue inks using a sponge to highlight the embossing.  This is just one of the many uses of inks apart from the obvious so please show me what you can do.  I might even learn something new!!

Thanks for stopping by

Until next time

Good Afternoon

I am very late in posting this month (I feel like I am behind with everything since starting this new year!!) but never the less I wanted to share with you all a card I made with a little help from my Brother Scan N Cut machine.  It could be used for Valentines Day as well many other special occasions.  I don't loaded the svg file for free and converted it in Canvas so I could use it with my machine.  Don't you LOVE technology??

If you would like to see more of our challenges  be sure to log into  Paper Craft Addicts group on facebook  (it is a closed group so you will have to ask to join) so we can all see each others creations!

#211 Black & White

Good Morning

Well it is my turn this week for a challenge over at Use Your Stuff and after thinking about it for a while I thought what better than a good old fashion "Black & White" theme.  There is nothing more striking than a black/white combination!  For my project this week I decided to make a card:

Please make sure you head over to show my fellow DT members some love.  And perhaps you have a stunning b&w combo card or layout you'd like to share with us all.  Until next time.

UYS #209 - Inspired by a Love Song

Good Morning Everyone

Can't believe it is that time again where I am here about to share with you my latest creation for Use Your Stuff.  As always please head over to their blog and check out the wickedly talented creations from my fellow DT members!

This week I have chosen to do another layout.  Last week was my handsome son but this week is a tribute page to our wonderful adopted "Nan & Pop".  They have always been here for our little family through thick and thin.  It has been an honour and a privileged to be blessed to call them our "Nan & Pop".  Thank you for adopting our children and treating them as your own.

My inspiration for this layout was a song from the Australian band "Secret Garden", To the Moon & Back.  My title... Love you to the Moon & Back.

Thanks for stopping by once again.  Have a fantastic week crafting and as always don't forget to check out the UYS blog.  And I hope to see you link up a design real soon.

UYS #207 - 3 Patterned Paper Challenge

Good Morning Everyone

Today I want to share my latest scrapbooking layout.  Our challenge this week over at Use Your Stuff was to create a project using only three patterned papers.  Several weeks ago back in 2015 I spent a wonderful Friday evening with great friends crafting and laughing!  Well during these hours I started a layout but I just couldn't get it to come together in a way the pleased me.... until this challenge came about.  I don't know how and I don't know why but after reading Karrie's challenge I just knew which layout to pull out.  Love how it has all come together!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting.  As always please don't forget to hop on over to UYS and check out the fantastic creations for this week.  Please also don't forget to link in any creations that you make. Can't wait to see you work.

So go grab your supplies and get crafting.  Don't forget to hop on over to Use Your Stuff to check out the gorgeous creations from my fellow DT members and don't forget to link up your creations too.
